Salary up to £42,000 per annum, plus company car or car allowance

As Clinical Educator you will work collaboratively with the management team and Clinical Leads for Education, and provide professional leadership for our clients teams of Clinical Technologists, Radiographers, Healthcare Support Workers and Nurses across the organisation. You will provide clinical and professional support to staff in the clinical environment, as well as provide professional accountability for Managers within the division. Your knowledge and expertise will ensure that services are delivered at the highest possible standards of quality, efficiency and safety.

  • Ensuring you contribute as a full member of the clinical services team
  • Contributing towards the development of corporate policies and procedures, induction programmes and healthcare quality audits
  • Being Governance Lead for the division providing risk management and clinical quality reports
  • Attending and leading various forums for Governance and Risk including clinical and quality meetings
  • Managing the PET-CT governance agenda, providing monthly meetings, agenda, minutes and relevant reporting
  • Ensuring that evidence based, best practice is observed at all clinical facilities
  • Supporting the professional development of clinical staff through mentoring, assessment and training
  • Supporting staff in the investigation of incidents and complaints
  • Attending national and international conferences
  • Ensuring attendance at all required mandatory and statutory training
  • Implementing and monitoring programmes to ensure all emergency equipment meets clinical standards
  • Providing clinical expertise and supporting managers in the preparation of formal unit inspections (IRMER/EA/CQC/HSE/ISO)
  • Supporting operational managers in the development of clinical schedules that ensure service provision is in line with demand and contractual KPIs.

 

Skills and experience

  • HCPC registration
  • Working in the PET-CT, MRI, CT environment and knowledge of all diagnostic procedures and pathways
  • Sound management and leadership knowledge
  • Working with governance data and improving quality
  • Handling and dispensing of radioactive isotopes
  • Using imaging equipment (MRI, PET-CT, CT, Ultrasound)
  • Being involved in the attraction, recruitment, selection and retention process
  • Knowledge of EA, IRMER, HSE and CQC requirements
  • Knowledge of infection control, health and safety and controlled drugs management.
  • A valid full UK driving licence and be prepared to undertake national travel.
